The Milford Hall of Fame is the product of the belief of former State Rep. Jerry Patton that due recognition and homage should be afforded selected Milford, Connecticut, individuals, who, by their lives, accomplishments, or reputations, have brought honor and distinction to the community.

The Hall is an ongoing project wherein the Milford Hall of Fame Committee will periodically name persons to the Hall and prepare a plaque that will be hung here in tribute to them.

The Milford Hall Of Fame honors 5 noteable people from Milford. The many accomplished residents of the commitee include historians, former mayors and other legislators.

After a series of discussions and meetings, the Milford Hall of Fame committee came into being in 2007, with a plan to "induct" its first class of Hall Of Fame "Honorees" the following year. On November 19, 2008 and led by a founding chair, Jerry Patton, and our mayors, the first Milford Hall of Fame "class" was honored at a ceremony at the Thomas A. Parsons complex.

In 2009, the Milford Hall Of Fame Committee voted to move up its annual induction ceremony to September.

The 2012 Milford Hall Of Fame induction ceremony’s special guest speaker was Michael C. Dooling, author and illustrator, including "An Historical Account Of Charles Island."

The 2013 Milford Hall of Fame induction ceremony special guest speaker was Margaret Anne Tockarshewsky, executive Director of the New Haven Museum who presented a talk on historian Edward R. Lambert an inductee.

Loneliness is no light matter. Solitary confinement can be as corrosive to the physical and mental health as any terminal disease.
